Cyclocross National Trophy, 9 Dec 2018
I had spent my week preparing for this and I felt ready. I was gridded right near the back and the start was a 300m straight. I managed to miss my pedal but this was all fine since my gridding position allowed for a slow start. I worked my way up the inside and went straight through one of the coldest puddles one could imagine. Due to missing the sighting lap my first lap was a little cautious since there were a few technical sections. I nearly stacked it on a log that came out of nowhere in the woods. The stairs took it out of me but I was able to maintain my placing.
