Eastern League Cyclocross, R8, 28 October 2018
I arrived in the morning feeling confident: bike sorted, gears clean and working, and my gloves definitely in the bag. After last year I'm never making that mistake again! After a variety of 4 punctures in the week before I was apprehensive about maintaining air pressure. I was gridded on the 2nd row but as I was the last man called I was on the edge of the pack. I clipped in fine in the start but due to the position of an upcoming tree I had to tuck in further back than ideal. I spent the rest of the race falling over, gaining places and suffering. Overall I felt I did reasonably well given the circumstances of the course and start.
