Kettering CC Weekly TT, 8 Mar 2020

After a long tiring week I competed in the first Kettering Cycling Club TT of the season. This is always a tough event, which never has the greatest weather. As this course is a straight out and back hilly route the wind plays a key part in the results. For the first half of the TT there was a cross tailwind, so I got to the halfway point in my fastest ever time in the 5 years I have done the course. At the turnaround point, I hit a headwind for the return leg, therefore any gains from the first half were lost on the return. I was pleased with my result considering the conditions and still managed to get a small PB.
