A3crg Glorious Goodwood Circuit TT, 26 July 2020

On Sunday, I competed in my first race since mid-March. It was also my first race on my new TT bike, so was excited to try it out properly. The weather was quite humid and the wind was moderate but picked up during the event. I had never ridden around the circuit before and we were not allowed to ride it beforehand, which made the first lap more interesting!

The course was five laps totalling 19km. Throughout the race, I had consistent lap times and heart rate, but didn't stick to any power data as I had no target and because it was hard to stick to with so many bends.

Overall, I was happy with how the race went and with my position in a strong field of female riders. I finished in 13th place with a time of 29:22.

Although it was good to do a new course, I'm looking forward to doing some more races in the near future on courses that I have already done so that I can compare my times to last year.
