West Midlands CX League Rd 9 Hereford, 31 Oct 2021

This was my 1st ever cyclocross race and as it was in Hereford (where I live) I couldn’t not do it!

I had no idea what to expect going into the race which added to the excitement. The start line was scary with lots of people in rows in front of me, but as soon as the whistle went I just sprinted to the first corner and somehow got out in front of everyone in the 1st 100m which was a good surprise!

I was in for a shock at how much it was going to hurt, I averaged 186BPM for 46min😮 after nearly dying about 100 times on the course from slipping and crashing I was happy to finish 2nd senior female. This race made me want to do lots more cyclocross races as I enjoyed it so much!
