This was a good race. The weather was awful - torrential rain! It was a bit nerve wracking as I had no braking power….

12 girls turned up to race so there were enough wheels to try and follow. There were Cat 234 women and E123 men racing.

The race started and we went off, the first lap was steady and then on the second lap the men didn’t follow instructions and passed through the women’s group rather then around and ended up splitting the women’s group!!

A couple of women went off on the front and I ended up forming a group with two other girls. We did a few laps together but I ended up losing the wheels about halfway through the race on the hill.

I TTd round on my own for half an hour and didn’t get caught by the chasing group. I ended up finishing in 6th place.

Really good race and really good result! And I finally got my 3rd cat licence!
