Grafham Standard Triathlon, 16 Sep 2023

Grafham was my 5th triathlon of this year which I am really proud of. Before this year I had done a few races and then had 2 children, so this is my first year back. I always had a fear of racing but I feel I have conquered that this year. I turned up ready for the race, I really enjoyed it and my result matched it.

I was 2nd woman out of the swim, I enjoyed having the confidence to push with the front group. The bike was good, I am a little disappointed compared to the leaders but I am much better than last year and for that I am really pleased.

As I went into the run the legs felt good and I kept a pace I was happy with but I feel I left a little bit of time out there! It was great to see Tim and have his support on the race , and nice to meet Julia and Becky as well. I finished the season on a high, especially as I was 5th woman overall and second in my AG.
