BUCS 10 mile TT, 27 Apr 2025

The BUCS 10 TT was arguably further out of my comfort zone than the 25 a couple of weeks before. It was shorter than any triathlon distance I used to race. So it meant that optimising power and aerodynamics was even more crucial. I managed 7W higher average power than I achieved at the 25miler. At first I was a bit discouraged by this, but it was still higher and a new threshold power PB. The course was good fun, it had something about it! There were some bumps, twists and turns which challenged me to stay on my bars. There was also a bit of a drag to the finish which made the last km feel like an eternity!

Most of all I absolutely loved the experience. For the first time in years I genuinely enjoyed racing and felt in my element even though it was so different! The Loughborough team and Catenary team smashed it and I was so inspired by how strong everyone was. Thank you to everyone who gave me encouragement to get out there and give it a go.

Tim has been a superstar, from kit, to strategy and encouragement. As someone who gets incredibly nervous and apprehensive about results, Tim reminds me to enjoy the process, trust my ability and take pride in showing up and giving it a good go!
