Lake 62 Triathlon, 6 Sep 2025
Standard triathlon at Lake 62 in the Cotswolds. A chilly start to a very rough swim, the first lap was more of a wrestle but ones I’d found my place I had some space to get into a rhythm. I really enjoyed the swim and found it the perfect place to apply my technique work in a race situation. I was out of the swim in 26 minutes which was 3 minutes faster than my last race, getting me closer to my PB again!
I loved the flat bike course and spent my time trying to keep my power consistent as well as staying low on the hoods. I completed the 39km in 1:12:59 and set a new 30km PB.
Off on the run I went by feel, possibly heading out too fast. But I had a great time and loved the support on each lap. I completed the run in 47 minutes.
My final finish time was 02:29:38, which put me into 2nd female. I was very happy with today’s outcome, dispute my current focus being towards sprint distance.
Thank you Tim for all the support leading up to this race, I had a great time!!
