BUCS Team Time Trial, 8 Mar 2026

This was truly a race of two halves! As a team who had never ridden together before the race, we managed to quickly settle into a rhythm that worked for everyone and get some good speed going.

Unfortunately, on lap 11/13, we had an incident around the corner which saw our last wheel go down- while she was very keen to continue the race the medical team banned her from doing so because there was, in fact, exposed bone in her knee. Me and my one remaining team member set off to finish the race for an unofficial time, before that team member got a puncture 100m later! A solo bimble back to the start, 7 stitches, and an extra night in Swindon later, I was home again in my own bed.

Super proud of how we did as a team, with a highly promising time for those first 11 laps, and I hope to see everyone out on the bike again soon.
