Season Goals
Our athletes are working on their 2025 season goals at the moment. Some tips for goal setting:
MOTIVATION – Goals are the reason why you’re training, even on dark, wet, early mornings
OUTCOME GOALS – e.g. winning a race. Great motivation, but not entirely in your control
PERFORMANCE GOALS – e.g. a specific time for an event. Mostly within your control
PROCESS GOALS – e.g. working on a skill. Within your control, a means to an end
SMART – Goals should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound
NUMBER – 3-6 goals is usually ideal – too many gets confusing
