Eastern League Cyclocross, R3, 23 September 2018

I was apprehensive on the way there as I had developed a cold on the previous night. I have been looking forward to a muddy wet race all year and I wasn't going to let this chance go. My sighting laps were slow with high heartrate. I started on the second row and wasn't too fussed about how the race was going to go. After a good start I got on the adrenaline and pushed nice and hard. After working with a 3 man group for a lap a crash behind me on the off camber gave me the chance to attack. I held this the rest of the race and came 7th, only 2 seconds slower than 6th. This was my best result of the season so far and gives me hope that I can do even better.
