Central CX League Rd 10, Swanbourne, 24 Nov 2019

I did another Central race this week, and it was fairly slippery to say the least. I misjudged where on the line to start so ended up getting a lot of wheelspin so struggled to get going. I eventually caught back on to the pace and quite soon after the start hit the first really hard section. It was wet and sloppy on one side or unridable clay on the other. Riding through the slop was very difficult so I had to do way more running than I would have liked. The rest of the course was undulating and quite consistent with a few ruts here and there. I only crashed once just before the pits so could change bikes quickly and keep on it. I lost a place after my crash as I forgot to lower the pressures on my pit bike’s tyres so was skidding all over the place, coming 6th in the end. I left thinking I've done my best so apart from a bit of drift practice, there’s not much more to do for next time.
