National Circuit TT Championship, 18 Oct 2020
On Sunday, I completed my last TT of the season which was the National Circuit TT.
The course was two laps and quite rolling with a mixture of different types of roads. On the day the wind was low, which I was happy about because most of the TTs I have done this year have been really windy.
My first lap went well, although my visor steamed up which made it harder to see. I didn't want to take it off as I hadn't done this before while riding, so kept it on to prevent losing time. My second lap was slower than the first but looking back I think I lost concentration which meant I wasn’t actually going as fast as I could have. When I finished I was disappointed with my time as it was the slowest 25 mile TT that I had done all year. However I soon realised that the course was quite slow when I saw the times of the other riders. Overall I was really pleased with 3rd place and 1st 18 year old. It was my first time in a podium position in a national event too, which was a good end to my last season as a junior!
