As my first open event on the return back to racing and on a course I'd never ridden before I wasn’t sure what to expect from the course. I had a good start but then the ride didn’t go to plan with very strong crosswinds for the entirety of the course, which meant I found it very tough at times to just ride in a straight line and stay upright. I pushed through all the crosswind, finishing just before the rain hit and managed to finish about 15sec slower than my 10mile PB, which I am pleased with - just need some better conditions!
