Kettering CC Lamport TT, 23 Aug 2020

I wasn’t looking forward to the TT prior to the start as it’s one of my least favourite courses. I decided to ride over to the TT this week to get the legs going and assess the wind which was quite strong. I knew going in that I’d have a tailwind on the way out with a headwind on the return to the line. I managed to get another great start getting into my aero tuck as soon as possible. I tried to keep the power on all the way to the roundabout getting there in my quickest ever time. Then the headwind hit so I tried to keep as aero as possible especially on the false flat section. I was pushing as hard as I could at this point as this is always the worst part of the course then fighting all the way to the line.

It didn’t feel like a fast day but I still managed to get a surprising 22sec PB, making that two PBs in a row on this course.
