National 10 Mile TT Championships, 30 Aug 2020
On Sunday I rode the National 10 in Hungerford. The temperature was cool and the wind was 15mph from the North, which felt quite strong as a crosswind on the East-West course. The course was an out and back on a single carriage way and was quite flat apart from a short hill in the middle.
During the race I struggled with the crosswind, especially at the start and end where the course was more exposed. The hardest part was the last few miles because of the wind and meant I lost the most time here. When I finished I was disappointed with my time but once the results had come through I realised that it was a slow day and I had actually beaten a few people that usually get better times than me.
Overall, I was happy with my position and the way I paced it for a course that I had never ridden.
