Hillingdon Crit Race, 13 Apr 2021
My first road race of the season was a Tuesday night crit at Hillingdon. After a full day of school and a hectic drive down I just had the goal of getting round. It took me a couple of laps to get back into it and because it was so short it very quickly was the last 3 laps. Over the last year I've managed to forget how to position myself for a sprint so I got cut up and didn't have an opportunity to go for it. I had no problems keeping the pace, which given we averaged 44km/h is a win, and I still had legs at the end. I'm taking the positives from this one and keeping at as some lessons learned.
