After having a week off in the Peak District and over-indulging it perhaps wasn’t ideal entering a TT the day after!

I turned up just before 7am and was given the no13 as I signed on. I was enjoying the cool air of a beautiful sunny morning and thankful it wasn't the afternoon. Warm up went well and I got to the start on time. The countdown began, I clipped in and off I went up the hill. I felt really good but probably a little too good on the way. I turned for home, the realised there was a slight head wind. I could see my speed drop and my heart rate rise. I thought the finish was further away so held out a little but it was shorter than I expected, and I got to the end.

It felt like a good race generally. I was 4th out of 8 ladies and 1st Lady Vets.
