Central CX Rd 3 & Leicestershire CX Rd 1, 30 Sep & 1 Oct 2023

My second CX race of the season was Round 3 of the CCXL at Campbell Park MK on the 30th September. I had a better start to my race this time out however I was unsure how I would go due to illness during the week. This is my favourite CX course that I’ve ridden, with it always being great fun with the steps and tree trunk. I had another good race managing to make up positions again throughout the race to finish 8th senior women this time out.

Having signed up for both the CCXL and LCXL this season, the 1st October was the first round of the LCXL at Marston Lodge. I was unsure what to expect at this race having only raced the mega cross here in the summer. After the course practice I wasn’t looking forward to racing it, it was a course that really didn’t suit me, with some very sapping bumpy sections, and a slippy tree rooted decent which I hated. I had a bad start again with the rider gridded directly in front not being able to clip in, so put me at the back from the beginning. I moved up positions throughout the race again but was unhappy with my race.
