Notts & Derby CX, Broxtowe, 18 Jan 2025

On 18th January I raced the final round of the Notts and Derby cyclocross league for the season at Broxtowe country park. This event was organised by the University of Nottingham, where I study, so it was a super cool event to race and help out at.

I had been over the day before to help set up the course so I knew roughly what to expect. The rain meant that conditions started to change early on race day. There were sections that got quite muddy so I ended up doing a few pit changes onto the mountain bike (as no luxury of multiple cross bikes at uni!) but it held up well on some of the more technical parts of the course. I had a good race, and a result i’m happy with! After a decent block of winter training the legs felt good in the race and I ended up in 4th place.
