National Trophy CX Rd 1, 5 Oct 2025

Last weekend I properly started my CX season at the first round of the National Trophy in Derby. I didn’t have ideal prep for the race, spending most of the week leading up to it with a cold so was aiming to just use the race as a bit of good experience. Having never raced a senior national CX before, I was gridded towards the back so aimed to move through as many people as possible.

Considering not feeling the best, I was really happy with how I raced, feeling confident on the techy sections and confident moving past riders. It was a really positive first experience of this field and I am really looking forward to getting over to some more of the National Series this season!
