BUCS 10 mile TT, 27 Apr 2025

I had mixed feelings after BUCS 10. I was hoping for a stronger performance, but the legs didn’t quite deliver what I’d been aiming for. I got stuck in and kept the effort consistent, but it felt like a bit of a grind from early on.

The highlight – or chaos, depending how you look at it – came right at the end with a dramatic unexpected head to head with a teamie in the final 20 metres. Not something you usually plan for in a time trial, but it definitely added some excitement to an otherwise tough day.

Even if the result wasn’t what I’d wanted, it was still great to be out racing, putting numbers on, and being part of a strong team effort. Plenty of positives to take away and some clear things to work on heading into the next one
