Witham Wheelers Open 10 mile TT, 1 June 2019
Arriving in sunny Lincolnshire, the weather was surprisingly warm in contrast to the chilly conditions of my last TT. I arrived at the start line feeling eager to see how the TT would go, especially as the course travelled through the village where I used to live. I knew a really quick time would be a challenge, having been resting a strain in the back of my knee. My legs tired quickly, particularly up to the half way point into a headwind, with the road being far lumpier than I remembered. The week’s reluctant rest due to injury brought the benefit of feeling refreshed and I’m happy with my performance - I look forward to my next TT which will be an early start of 7:09am in St Asaph, North Wales, on Sunday 9th June.
