Lichfield Circuit Race, 28 May 2021

I wasn’t feeling great for this race. I’d had a long week and little sleep the night before. So I arrived not really feeling up for it.

The race started and we were off. The race was tame to begin with and then two 2nd cat girls put in an attack and went off the front. I tried to follow but I wasn’t feeling strong at all so ended up staying with the group I was with.

I stayed in a good position and did as little on the front as I could get away with to try and save some of the little energy that I had. There was a final sprint for the finish and ended up finishing a respectable 5th place, gaining me my first points of the season!

After almost bailing out, I was very glad that I didn’t.....
