BUCS MTB/National Trophy MTB Round 2, 11/12 Apr 2026

Last weekend was a double-header at Cannock Chase for the second round of the MTB National Series. On the Saturday was the BUCS Championships which is a new event so I was really looking forward to giving it a go! There was a really strong field of girls which was great but it made for some tough racing! It wasn’t my best performance but was great fun and I came away with 6th. This was also using the same course as the UCI the next day so was great to get some practice in.

On the Sunday was the National round. For this event they were running a separate U23 UCI category which I took part in. It was great to have such a strong field of U23 riders as this made for such a fun and close race. I was very unsure of how it was going to go off the back of the race the previous day but surprisingly I felt really good! I was sat in a leading group for a while, but couldn’t quite hold onto 2nd and finished 3rd. This is something I’m super happy with as it’s also the first time I’ve placed on a UCI podium so a really positive beginning of the season!
